A thread for random roleplay chaos! Approved characters not needed here, indeed, you may have your character and just want to test some NPC idea, go ahead and test it here.
A fun practice-Rp'ing thread for you to mess around in while you wait for Approval ^_^

To provide some help in setting the mood, Tag the top of your post with one of the following:

[Mist]
Your post takes place in the misty isles, a series of islands that are plagued by nightly mists preventing sight beyond 5ft in an average human.

[Sky]
Your post takes place in the great Floating islands, islands composed of lighter then air rocks that float about the skies, connected together by great vines or floating freely. Travel difficult without flight, but many of the best locations are connected to one another by Vine Roads or sky ferries.
Angelic races are often found about here.

[Plane]
A great seemingly infinite plane of grass and rolling hills. Chances still aren't that high- but beware of Tornados ^_^

[City]
The great Metropolis of Ciporis, Its vast sprawling expanse of high cities and many different districts.

[Space]
The arcane city of wonder: Pherisia, the Phantom city. It is many self sustained districts. The city appears as a great expanse of Grape like formations of bubble-like cells. Inside there are many spacious rooms with artificial environmental simulation, so you wont be in want of Sunlight and greenery.

[Hella]
The infernal pits and underground expanses. Here through its dark tunnels are supernaturally large caverns housing cities, even fields of stone. Its own form of ecosystem thrives here, Mushrooms grow a plenty in these specious places that glow brightly. by its own, it may be considered a lightbulb. but together they light these underground cities. Some cities may be lit by magnificent rivers or falls of Lava.

In addition, if your replying to someone be sure to add [Name] Name replacing the name of the character you are replying to.

Sumina walked the deep reaches of Hella- The world within the world. Its dark and jagged roads and threatening Stalactites would be impossible to travel if she did not have the Minds eye. Her world took a bright hew of Magenta, Purple, Violet and black shadows as she saw the old road to Illumeon, the City of Fire. Occasionally she'd note brighter patches, where odd bulbous fungus grew. She tested them sometime ago already, and new that if she dismissed her Minds eye she'd be able to see approximately 25ft around the growths well, dimmer out to about 50ft before she returned to the darkness of the perilous road. More then once she'd stand over a ledge overlooking a wide chasm with which her Minds eye detected no end. The path wide however, wide enough two full sized carriages could pass each other without too much fear of getting close to an edge of the jagged wall. How often was the road used? Not often. Those living in Hella scarcely visited the Surface, likewise most surface dwellers didn't care to its darkness let alone travel to one of the only Twelve entrances to Hella's main expanse.
Sumi had walked on for hours before she finally found a large cavern that was brightly lit with the glowing mushrooms, a worn trail lead up to what she assumed to be an Inn, though she couldn't understand the language written on the sign in front. Since it was lit, Sumi dismissed her Minds Eye; she'd already had it up for hours and since it looked like an inn she didn't intend to need it for a while yet anyway. She was starting to feel a bit of drain from its use after all, a useful test.

A small blonde child stood next to the door of the Inn. She seemed to be analyzing something. What was a child doing in a place like this anyway? Jasmine took note of the composition of the ground around where she stood, of the creatures that passed by, of nearby structures...Everything would go into her data for later use.
She was so into her studies that she didn't hear anyone approach her, though normally, that would be the first thing she realized. She was utterly fascinated by this area for no apparent reason.

Sumi rose the stone steps up to the inn that overlooked the baseball field sized habitat, it lead to a clearing similar to a mesa where the building took up much of the space. From the stone steps to the wooden porch could be counted on one hand. Sumi climbed the creaking steps, the patio was some what large. Sumi made note of a kid, who looked to be around six, maybe upwards of ten on a stretch. Sumi paused to make note of the child, amused at they're similarities. The kid could have passed to be herself when she was young.
The kid was fascinated with the odd plantlife below, Sumi didn't wish to disrupt it so she carried on, not that she would have intervened anyway. That would have been awkward.
Inside the building was a mostly empty main room with wooden tables, a traveler or two sat sprinkled about. A man behind a counter waved her over.
"Hey there" He said. Sumi approached and replied.
"Hello, keeper." She said trying to sound enthusiastic, but failing. Sumi noted his features and black hair, None in the room could be parent or brother to the child out front.
"Who's kid is out front" She asked

"That kid..." The man looked out the door from where he stood and tapped his chin. "Couldn't say. First I've seen 'er around. No one came inside with her though, so I'd venture she's here alone." He chuckled. "Kinda looks like you actually. Why ya ask?"

Jasmine looked around and knelt by an odd form of plant life, quickly noting how large it had gotten compared to the others, the type of soil it had grown in, the life feeding from it, its shape and even its color. She'd have to find out what it was when she got a chance.

The black haired man answered her question and Sumi nodded with glance out the glassless window to where the kid hadn't moved much from when she last saw her.
"Well, in any case, do you know how much farther it is until I get to Illumeon?" Sumi asked. The man laughed a hearty laugh before answering her this time.
"Your an awful long way, lady, Illumeon is six cities away." He chuckled, his answered made Sumi sigh. And the entrance she took was supposed to be the closest... Hella was indeed quite expansive.
"Could you give me directions to this First city then?" She pressed.
"Sure" he said controlling himself. "You continue down this road, your obviously a surfacer so I assume you came from the path on the left, until the first fork, its unmarked but you'd want the one leading down. From there it should be a straight shot to the next city."
"Thank you, Keeper." She said. She wasn't tired, though it was nearly nightfall, and she had somewhere to be. but she knew herself, her body needed rest and it would be hours more until she reached the city otherwise this was a rather poor local for an inn.
"Do you have any rooms?" She asked.
"We do. five silvers a night, a gold for three days, laundry costs five coppers, the baths an extra five silvers, you'll find they are the best baths until the city of Geshtet" he answered in what she guessed was a rather practiced line. She retrieved a pouch of coin and picked out five silvers, pondering it for a moment she decided to hand him three gold instead just in case. The innkeeper pocketed the coin and handed her a key on a chain engraved "Bath&Care" along with a wooden chip with the word Laundry. She put the key around her neck and took a few steps to the rooms on the above floor, but stopped.
The man said the kid wasn't with anyone. Would she even have money for a room? She thought it for the best if she ask anyway. She returned to the porch to stand beside the girl.
"Hello" She started. Refraining use of "little one", she wanted to come across more equal and respectful then the usual looking-down upon the child as most adults seemed to like.

The small girl looked up at the woman who had addressed her and stood up straight, looking at her almost emotionlessly, as if she were hollow. "Hello ma'am." Her small voice seemed neither confused or concerned at the new turn of events. She quickly took in the information about the woman that seemed relevant for later identification. Her eye color, hair color, skin tone, voice tone, build, and even attire were filed away into the back of Jasmine's mind.

Sumi couldn't bring herself to be surprised. She was similar to that when she herself was little. She already felt the girl was almost like a segment of her past drawn forth to the present.
"How are you? The Keeper told me he didn't see anyone with you, have you a room here?" She asked the girl, studying her features as she talked. Sumi was ready to take care of her if she was alone, those in need... No matter who, Sumi considered them family to her- Family helps family.

Jasmine looked at the woman with an analytical expression. "No ma'am. I have no room in this place, nor has anyone accompanied me here. I have not had a companion for quite some time." She spoke in a child's voice, though her words seemed to have wisdom beyond her years. Her dress was slightly dirty, which seemed to indicate she'd fallen a few times in the dirt nearby and tried to brush it off, and there was a small smudge of the earth on her cheek.

Sumi sighed, noticing the grime on her clothing.
"What are you doing down here? or perhaps your coming from below going topside?" She asked.
Sumi wondered who would let a child travel alone. Whats more, this one didn't appear to be carrying any money despite the lovely dress, if a bit soiled. Sumi remembered herself when she was about that age, she'd been left parent less to survive on her own and knew no charity. Only hardship and abuse. Seeing the young girl who looked strikingly as herself back then, it felt like the world was giving her a chance to show it how things should have been.
Sumi smiled.
"So whats your name, might I ask?"

"I was doing research." Jasmine replied to the lady's initial question. "And I am Jasmine Rera...though I would prefer to be called by my surname." She looked over the woman once more, before adding, "What might I call you?" She did prefer to be called Rera by people whom she'd just become acquainted to, but she had an odd feeling about this woman, for some odd reason.

Research? A school project? In Hella? Someone needs a lesson or two in common-sense parenting.
"I'm Sumina" Sumi told her. "Or just Sumi" She added, leaving out her title of Witch Queen- it didn't make for good conversation with most people.
"What kind of research are you doing here in the Underworld?" She asked, knowing full well the vast variety of alternate flora&Fauna. Many great minds were drawn to its depths, though few actually make the trek. The many types of Reptiles and arachnids were astounding. Though plenty of bazaar aquatic creatures could be found in the many underground rivers and lakes. There was even the legendary Ocean of Seoul, a truly vast body of water deep under the crust.

"I go out alone, examining and expanding my knowledge of the world and the people in it. This is merely another day of it to me." Jasmine looked at Sumi with another plain expression on her face, but this time she cracked a small smile. "I find it...intriguing. And what, pray tell, are you doing in this place, miss Sumi?"

[Hella] [Jasmine]

The girl was indeed all alone then. She sounded like she knew what she was doing though... Sumi disregarded it.
"I'm stopping here for the night. I'm traveling to Illumeon. Though I feel no need sleep it does not make me immune to the effects of the lack thereof." Sumi turned to look back through the glassless window then back to the key around her neck.
"Care to join me?" She asked. "I mean no offense, but you look like you could use some coin." She said. "I happened to have paid more then a bit extra, maybe enough for two. Including stay... baths... and laundry service." she said.

"If you wish for me to accompany you, I will not object." She looked up at Sumi and smiled slightly. "Thank you for asking me, miss Sumi." Jasmine wondered what brought this influx of generosity from the woman, but she wouldn't turn down assistance. She curtsied slowly and smiled.

Sumi smiled. "I don't really know what your doing, but perhaps you can travel with me to Illumeon. The road is bound to have interesting things for your notes. You don't need to be back anywhere soon, do you?" She asked. She felt like she'd rather take the kid with her to Illumeon and back rather then have her wander alone.
"And your welcome. Lets go try out that bath" Sumi said, holding out a hand.

"I have nowhere to be, period. I can accompany you for however long you wish me to, miss Sumi." Jasmine took Sumi's hand gently, almost timidly, as she was led inside to the baths. She didn't know what to make of the situation she'd gotten herself into. Sumi seemed to be trying to take care of her like a mother would, almost. But Jasmine herself was a highly independent spirit, so she didn't know how to react to the situation.

"Sounds like a plan" Sumi said. Rera took her hand and Sumi lead her inside the inn. There was a small plaque that pointed her to the baths, she followed it until it opened up into a new stone walled room with a large steaming bath. She figured there must be volcanic activity nearby, because it was very much like a hot spring. Not too unthinkable since they were deep underground. Sumi noted next however, that it Was very much public. There were six others in the bath, two were male while the other four were women. The men were pushed away into one corner it seemed while the women shared most the right side of the spring. It wasn't particularly large, but it was big enough. She wasn't one to care about her own privacy in such situations, but she wasn't alone. Sumi looked down to Rera to see if she had any opinion on the shard bath.

Jasmine looked at Sumi questioningly. "We could wait if you do not wish to bathe with others, miss Sumi." She herself didn't know how to react about it. Not only were there other women in the bath, but there were men. Something in her 13 year old mind didn't think it would be a good idea to join at that time. But she would leave it up to Sumi.

Rera didn't seem to mind it, asking her instead if she had a problem with it. So Sumi undid the buttons and lace on her shirt before sliding it over her head and placing it in a cuby that lined the entryway to the bath. A young man stood with a sword at his side nearby, probably a guard to prevent theft. Sumi ignored his eyes as she stepped out of the entryway a few feet into the main chamber, the closer she got the more she could smell the scents of an herbal mixture and scented oils, before turning back to the cubbies to wait for Rera.
